The Gen Z-and-their-parents gap

This little list of info was amazing to me, it confirmed that I think my ideas have legs in terms of finding a way to communicate with two different generations through Art, Artists and making. With one more attuned to sharing and taking and the other more focused on creating and the use of imagery I think there is a possibility to create a space for both and to bridge that gap with Art as a facilitator. It makes so much more sense to me now when I see my eldest daughter having an entire conversation with her friend through the medium of GIFs! Also that as a generation they are future focused with so much weight on their shoulders (climate change, little chance of property ownership, pensions/savings etc) and have a work ethic based on hard work leading to success. My generation and Gen Z before me are a generation of sharers (think endlessly reposting on Facebook or oversharing your holiday pics unable to self-edit) and a generation focused on the here and now as we live somewhat hand-to mouth on credit and mortgage payments and just about grappling with the latest technology. When it comes to tech in particular Gen Z are always on to the next thing. This little bit of info was so useful and had such far reaching meaning from kind of an unexpected source!
