There are many reasons all this is vital work and I know from previous experience that there’s a want and need from parents even though it’s hard to quantify it. I have had women ask me to talk to their daughters about body hair and weight, asking me to curate their child’s instagram feeds, I am constantly asked for advice on representation and media. I am always sharing resources on these difficult conversations. I want to know, as a parent myself to three daughters how to have these conversations, I don’t know what to tell them about Sarah Everard or the fact that my eldest is statistically to be harassed in the street any day now and I am super informed about this stuff. I do the reading and theoretically I know the stuff. I am not alone. At the moment the help is too scarce and the conversations too late. This project aims to change that.
