First Round

The first two intervention workshops went amazingly well and I’m feeling confident this format will work for any kind of conversation actually. People, or should I say mothers, since it was all mothers, were super open and interested and I know they have opened their minds to some of the more contemporary ideas I am putting in front of them saying that their views and approaches have changed when it comes to how they will talk to their kids so that in itself I count as a huge success. I focused on only one subject with each, although of course there was a lot to cover and lots of lovely tangents made so actually we talked about all kinds of things, but I steered those conversations around the central themes, either masturbation or virginity. I will try and see if its possible to cover more ground in one session with the other two but also I want to be able to adapt in the moment and have info and stuff prepared to cover all kinds of topics should they come up. At the end of each session I write notes about it and will also eventually send everyone any of the resources I mentioned at the time. I’m feeling very positive about it also far.
