Postcard books

I was looking at postcards books in a bookshop yesterday, you can get all these cute stills from graphic novels that tear out easily and have a nice weight to them. One of the ideas that came out of the workshops are postcards of art work with info and taking points for parents. The idea of leaving a postcard around that would spark natural conversation was eagerly met. I think I would have the layout have the artists info on the back of the image but the other side of the book would remain so you had all the conversation/sex ed stuff separately in a book still. Then you can come back to it, maybe have suggestions for other related art to the subject and it keeps that information away from the child viewing the postcard too.

I know nothing about publishing or graphic designing printing so this would be new territory for me. I do know someone who has a graphic design/book design background so I will ask her about it. In the mean time I’m making mock ups and trying to have a crude digital version to get some people to try.
