After my meetings with Rafaella and some familiarising myself with artist call outs I have put together a call for artists and summation of the show as well as an additional document that can be sent to artists if they want more prompts or help with direction/research. The call will go out soon to hopefully try and generate some work for a show. Here goes nothing as they say.
“We are looking for artists to participate in an exhibition & body of work examining, exploring & engaging in our collective, personal, cultural or societal relationships with online pornography & the role porn plays in our everyday lives, identities, relationships & sexual education.”
I’m being vague about the “body of work” element as in my mind this could mean a book of photographs/postacards or publication of some kind or it could mean the other events I have in mind to put on during the exhibition, or of course, it could be both or neither!
Oh and the show is called “Money Shot” (Porn, Culture and Legacy.)
