Internet Matters Survey

This is quite a comprehensive survey by the organisation Internet Matters, who have a helpful site for helm families with internet safety. Whilst the site has videos and guides what I am finding though is that most people I have spoken to either don’t know these sites, find them a bit clunky and text heavy or are looking for stuff beyond online safety. The survey they did is great and I’d be interested to know how it informs the resources and content they then go on to create. The new RSE framework for Years 3 and up (so from around 7/8 years old) mostly concentrates on safety online, starting with cyber bullying and then a bit about grooming without really using that term so more about people lying about their identities online and making sure your avatars have no defining characteristics like your age or name etc. There is very little out there that covers the safety of teens in the actual real world.
